What a Great Day it Was! Come to the next one!
Welcome to the Ballard HS Class of 1967 reunion and alumni page. We had a great Banquet, Golf Outing, and Faculty Reception, at Ballard G&CC in Huxley. Custodian Doug Schroeder guided us on a tour of the Junior-Senior HS Building, too. Ralph Ross organized the Golf Outing. Ninety eight people attended in all, including 17 faculty and staff people or their spouses, plus 45 members of the 1967 class together with their spouses and guests.
Everyone who came to the reunion is invited to use our Message Board and Guest Book to communicate your take on the 2007 reunion experience to the committee and others. We'd like to hear from you and so would everyone else.
Your Photos are Ready. We have posted pictures from the School Tour, the Faculty and Staff Reception, and the Reunion Banquet, but we need more. Do you have any? Do you have video? Maybe you could send them to us. You can email or upload them directly to the site. E-mail is the easiest.
BHS Class of '67 Classmates, plus members of Faculty and Staff from the 1967 era at Ballard (our very Special Guests of Honor at all of our reunion activities) and those who could not attend are invited to sign the guest book, write a message board blog, and send us new pictures. Ballard Community's Website tells that "The Ballard Community School District encompasses approximately 85 square miles, with a district population of almost 7000 residents. The communities of Cambridge(click), Huxley(click), Kelley and Slater(click) came together in 1957 and formed the Ballard Community School District. The first graduating class was 1959. The name Ballard is derived from a creek that once flowed throughout the District. Ballard Community School District is located in the "Golden Circle" 10 miles south of Ames and 20 miles north of Des Moines. Its location provides the opportunities of small town living while enjoying access to metropolitan activities."
